Urad and masoor prices firmed up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on fresh buying by retailers for the marriage season, amid restricted arrivals.
Traders said fresh buying by retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts, pushed up wholesale urad and masoor prices.
Urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,100-4,650 and Rs 4,900-5,300, while its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,400-5,700 and Rs 5,600-5,700 per quintal.
Masoor small and bold also advanced by Rs 150 each tO Rs 3,300-3,500 and Rs 3,450-3,700 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were enquired higher by the similar margin to Rs 4,050-4,150 and Rs 4,300-4,600 per quintal.
