US indices ended on a sluggish note yesterday as investors maintained cautious trend with the commencement of the quarterly earnings season. The oil concerns, too, played on the sentiment, with the Dow Jones dropping 13 points to 10,449 and the Nasdaq ending seven points lower at 1,992.Indian floats, too, were largely disappointing on Monday. Infosys shed 2.72% to $66.40. Satyam and Wipro, too, ended weak at $18.91 and $20.25, respectively.ICICI Bank slumped 3.42% to $19.49. HDFC Bank and VSNL were down a per cent each at $43.15 and $8.64, respectively. Dr. Reddy's and Tata Motors, however, ended in the green with steady gains at $17.50 and $9.75, respectively. MTNL finished unchanged at $6.45.
