US markets ended down on Thursday as tech shares tumbled and new worries about public finances came about with poor bond auction. Stress tests showed positive results, but the banks rose only after the closing bell.
The Dow dropped 102 points (1%) to 8,410. The Nasdaq shed 43 points (2.5%) to 1,716.
Indian ADRs were mostly down.
ICICI Bank slumped 5% to $21.39. HDFC Bank declined 4% to $77.52.
Wipro and MTNL dropped 3.5% each to $10.23 and $2.77, respectively.
Infosys, Tata Motors and Tata Communications shed around 1% each.
However, Patni Computers rallied 5% to $7.6. Sterlite and Dr Reddy's advanced over 3% each to $10 and $11.35, respectively.
Satyam remained unchanged at $1.95.
