US markets ended on a flat note on Thursday following the news of Chrysler's bankruptcy filing. The news came at a time when there was a positive sentiment about a recovering economy, upbeat corporate profits and reassuring job data.
The Dow dropped 18 points to 8,168. The Nasdaq remain almost unchanged at 1,717.
Indian ADRs, however, were mostly up.
MTNL surged 4.5% to $2.95. Patni Computers rallied 3% to $7.81.
Infosys and Tata Communications gained 1.5% each at $30.81 and $23.06, respectively. Wipro and Tata Motors advanced 1% each to $9.38 and $7.71, respectively.
The other prominent gainers were Satyam, Sterlite and Dr Reddy's.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank slumped 4% to $74.02. Genpact declined 2% to $8.96.
