After opening strong on Wednesday, the US markets could not sustain the gains in afternoon trades, but a late recovery helped in a positive close. The Dow Jones rallied 1.1% to the day's high but ended the day to close 0.34% higher at 12,255 points. The Nasdaq closed 0.55% higher to close at 2272.81 points. Indian ADRs were up significantly. Satyam was up 6.05% to $25.78, while Wipro gained 3.95% to $11.84. HDFC Bank also gained 3.65% to $105.74. Other ADRs gained 0.5% and 3%.
