US markets rallied on Monday, following investor's hopes of bank's capital shortfalls to be manageable. Housing data also showed a positive picture of the recession easing.
The Dow surged 2.5% (214 points) to 8,427. The Nasdaq gained 2.5% (44 points) to 1,764.
Indian ADRs were also up.
ICICI Bank skyrocketed 14% to $23.46. Wipro and Sterlite zoomed 12% each to $10.61 and $9.51, respectively.
HDFC Bank soared 10.5% to $82.67. Infosys rallied 7% to $32.76. Tata Motors advanced 6% to $7.86.
Tata Communications, Dr Reddy's, Genpact and Satyam added 1-3% each.
However, MTNL slumped 8% to $2.71.
