US markets tumble on fresh eco worries

A weak June non-farm payrolls gave rise to fresh worries about the health of the US economy and dragged down the US markets.

The Dow slumped 223 points (2.3%) to 8,281. The Nasdaq slipped 49 points (2.6%) to 1,797.

Indian ADRs were in red. Genpact plunged 4% to $11.41. Infosys and Patni Computers shed 3% each to $36.21 and $10.75.

ICICI Bank, Tata Communications and Tata Motors dropped 2.8% each to $29.85, $19.67 and $8.6, respectively.

HDFC Bank and MTNL declined 2% each. Dr Reddy's slipped 1% to $16.93.

However, Satyam was up 3% at $3.34.
