V-Mart Retail gains on institutional buying

Kotak Mahindra (Int'l) and Citigroup Global Markets bought an aggregate 1.74 million shares at Rs 300 per share on BSE.

V-Mart Retail is trading higher by 2% at Rs 286, after institutional investors acquired 1.74 million shares representing nearly 10% stake in the company for Rs 52 crore through open market on Monday.

On February 17, 2014 Kotak Mahindra (International) Limited bought 1.02 million shares at Rs 300 on the BSE and Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius Private Limited bought 0.72 million shares at Rs 299.97 on the BSE, according to bulk deal information available on BSE website.

Naman Finance & Investment, Antique Stock Broking, Lata Bhanshali and Tejal Kothari had collectively sold 1.71 million shares at an average price of Rs 300 per share, data shows.

The stock opened at Rs 286 and touched a high of Rs 298 on the BSE. A combined 31,800 shares changed hands on the counter till 1050 hours on the BSE and NSE.
