The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 69 points to 11,417. The Nasdaq added five points to 2,389.
Among the Indian ADRs - ICICI Bank rallied 4% to $31.09, and HDFC Bank surged 3.7% to $85.85. Sterlite and Panti Computers gained over 3% each at $14.01 and $10.55, respectively. Wipro and Tata Communications were up over 1% each.
On the other hand, Tata Motors slipped nearly 2% to $9.45, and Dr.Reddy's declined 1% to $13.64.
