The Wall Street slipped yesterday owing to uncertanity on the auto sector bailout. The Dow Industrial Average index plunged 196 points to 8,565. The Nasdaq tumbled 58 points to 1,508.
Indian ADRs, however, ended on a mixed note. Sterlite surged nearly 4% to $6.10. HDFC Bank advanced 1.7% to $64.18, and MTNL added 1.3% to $3.16.
On the other hand, Infosys and Dr.Reddy's slumped 4.5% each to $23.98 and $9.40, respectively. Genpact, Patni Computers and Tata Motors shed 4% each at $7.21, $5.62 and $4.37, respectively. Wipro slipped over 3% to $7.47.
