Ths US indices ended with significant losses yesterday on the back of ever rising mortgage crises and weak retail sales data. The Dow Jones industrial average slumped 215 points to 12,040. The Nasdaq plunged 52 points to 2,221.Indian ADRs, too, ended on a weak note. HDFC Bank tumbled 5.5% to $100. Wipro shed 5% at $11.25. Infosys, Sterlite, Satyam, ICICI Bank, MTNL, Tata Motors, Dr.Reddy's and Tata Communications dropped 2-4% each. Patni Computers, however, moved up 1% to $11.09.
