The Sensex continues to languish in the negative zone and is now down 287 points at 14,806. Financials, capital goods and realty stocks are the major losers today, while metal and technology stocks have moved up.
DLF has slumped 6.5% to Rs 513, and Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled 5.5% to Rs 1,008. Jaiprakash Associates has shed 4.5% at Rs 178.
HDFC has plunged 5% to Rs 2,295. SBI, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have slipped around 4% each to Rs 1,490, Rs 1,169 and Rs 681, respectively.
BHEL has dropped 4.3% to Rs 1,710, and Larsen & Toubro has tumbled 3.6% to Rs 2,694.
ACC and Maruti has slipped 3% each to Rs 608 and Rs 650, respectively.
ITC, Reliance Communicaitons and Hindustan Unilever have declined 2% each to Rs 191, Rs 432 and Rs 239, respectively.

On the other hand, Infosys has surged 2.8% to Rs 1,670, and Satyam has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 414.
Tata Steel and Sterlite are also up nearly 2% each at Rs 622 and Rs 623, respectively.
The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,415 stocks traded so far, 1,639 have declined, 706 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
