Smartinvestor : Markets have remained flat in early trades on the first day of Feb F&O series. What is your call on the Nifty for Feb futures expiry?
Chetan Jain : Nifty has been maintaining its consolidation phase since last two months with trading in a narrow band of around 150-160 points. Looking at the Option concentration data, 6200 calls are witnessing maximum OI whereas on lower side 5800 strike it is witnessing put activity suggesting broader range could be in between 5800-6200 levels in this expiry. One can initiate Short Straddle at 6000 strike price by selling calls & puts.
Smartinvestor : Banking major SBI is also among the most active stocks in the options segment with contracts at strike prices of Rs 2,400 and Rs 2,550. What strategy should investors adopt for the stock for Feb options expiry?
Chetan Jain : SBIN is moving in range of around 2400-2560 levels in last four weeks with no major movements.
Smartinvestor : Telecom major Bharti Airtel is witnessing action with contracts at strike prices from Rs 320-360 in the options segment. What is your call on the stock for Feb options expiry?
