Turning to the domestic market, silver ready (.999 fineness) resumed higher at Rs 50,830 and continued its bull run to close at Rs 53,600 a kilo from last weekend's level of Rs 50,610 a kg.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) opened higher at Rs 20,930 per ten grams and shot up further to end at Rs 20,990 from previous weekend's level of Rs 20,845 per ten grams.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) resumed higher at Rs 21,030 and firmed up further to finish at Rs 21,100 from last weekend's level of Rs 20,945, disclosing a rise of Rs 155.00 per ten grams.
Oils and oilseeds: Refined palmolein prices recovered smartly in the oils and oilseeds market during the week under review.
Refined palmolein oil firmed up due to fresh buying support from retailers amidst higher Malaysian advices.
Trading sentiments turned better after palm oil prices strengthened in the global markets. On the other hand, groundnut oil closed unchanged in the absence of worthwhile buying activity.

Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial dropped sharply owing to lack of inquiries from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Castorseeds futures markets also drifted lower on poor export inquiries amid weak spot demand. Linseed oil, however, continued to rule steady in absence of market moving factors.
The market remained closed on Wednesday on account of 'Maha Shivratri'.
In edible oil segment, refined palmolein resumed steady at Rs 577, but later hardened to close at Rs 589 from the preceding weekend's level of Rs 577, showing a gain of Rs 12 per 10 kg.
Groundnut oil opened steady at Rs 750 and moved up to high of Rs 755 before settling unchanged at previous weekend's level of Rs 750 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold opened lower at Rs 5,500 and dropped further to finish at Rs 5,300 over its weekend's level of Rs 5,575, showing a sharp loss of 275 per 100 kg.
Castor oil commercial resumed lower at Rs 1,130 and drifted further to close at Rs 1,090 from previous weekend's level of Rs 1,145, showing a sharp fall of Rs 55 per 10kg.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 670 per 10 kg.
Moving to the futures section, castorseeds for March delivery resumed lower at Rs 5,030 and declined further to a low of Rs 4,720 before ending at Rs 4,799 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 5,061, showing a hefty loss of Rs 262 per tonne.
