Wheat dara falls on increased supply

Wheat dara prices fell by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against increased arrivals from producing belts.

Traders said increased supplies against reduced offtake by flour mills, mainly led to fall in wholesale wheat dara prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 25 to Rs 1,350-1,355 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,355-1,360 per 90 kg.

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, Super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,600-5,700, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,400-5,500, Permal raw 1,875-1,925, Permal wand 2,025-2,175, Sela 2,150-2,205 and Rice IR-8 1,745-1,770
