In restricted activity, wheat dara prices traded marginally higher by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today, on increased offtake by flour mills.
Elsewhere, other commodities traded in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills to meet ensuing festival and marriage season demand led to the rise in wheat dara prices.
Wheat dara (for mills) gained Rs 5 to Rs 1,240-1,245 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and edged up by the similar margin to Rs 1,245-1,250 per 90 kg.
