Wheat dara weakens on adequate supply

Wheat dara prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market on adequate supply following increased arrivals from producing belts.

Traders said adequate stocks position due to increased arrivals from producing belt amid reduced offtake by flour mills led to the decline in wheat dara prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 to Rs 1,175-1,180 and atta chakki delivery lost Rs 10 to Rs 1,190-1,195 per 90 kg.

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal, 300, super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,650-5,750, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,500-5,500, Permal raw 1,850-1,900, Permal wand 2,050-2,150, Sela 2,100-2,175 and Rice IR-8 1,750-1,775
