In range-bound movements, wheat traded a shade lower by 0.10% to Rs 1,223.60 per quintal in futures trade today amid increased supplies in the spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.20, or 0.10% to Rs 1,223.60 per quintal, with an open interest of 19,990 lots.

Similarly, wheat for delivery in May traded lower by Re one, or 0.08% to Rs 1,200.20 per quintal, with a business turnover of 11,050 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in wheat futures prices to increased arrivals of the newly harvested crop in the spot markets.
