Wheat dara and maize prices fell by up to Rs 15 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake against adequate stocks.
Traders said reduced offtake by millers as well as stockists on sluggish demand against adequate stocks mainly led to fall in wholesale wheat dara and maize prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 to Rs 1,190-1,195 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,195-1,200 per 90 kg.
Maize also weakened by Rs 15 to Rs 1,200-1,210 per quintal on subdued demand.
