Wheat dara and maize rose up to Rs 10 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased demand.
Other commodities, however, after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity, settled around previous closing levels.
Traders said increased demand from flour mills to meet the ongoing marriage season demand mainly helped wheat dara prices to move up.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,195-1,200 per quintal, while atta flour mills gained Rs 20 to Rs 660-680 per 50 kg.
Maize also moved up by Rs 10 to Rs 1,235-1,245 per quintal.
