Wheat and non-basmati rice remained high and gathered up to Rs 15 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today. However, jowar yellow showed somewhat weakness on increased arrivals amid fall in demand.
Traders said increased demand from stockists following pick up in demand helped select commodity prices to rise.
Wheat MP (deshi) traded Rs 15 higher at Rs 1,665-1,765 per quintal, while wheat dara (for mills) remained flat at Rs 1,285-1,290 per quintal on some support.
In the non-basmati rice sela rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2,270 per quintal on stockists buying. However, jowar yellow traded Rs 50 lower at Rs 1,000-1,100 per quintal on sluggish demand.
