Barring a rise in wheat on flour mills buying, other commodities continued to trade around previous closing in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Arrivals and offtake, too, remained at a low ebb and volume of business poor.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills, driven by marriage season demand, mainly pushed up wheat prices.
Wheat dara, mostly consumed by flour mills, traded Rs 5 higher at Rs 1,275-1,280 per quintal, while wheat MP (deshi) remained unchanged at Rs 1,650-1,750 per quintal.
