The Sensex continued its north-bound journey for the eighth straight week during the week ended December 1.After starting on a positive note, the index remained in negative zone for the better part of the week only to bounce back sharply on Friday. Eventually, it was Friday's 145-point rally that saw the index finish the week with a gain of 142 points at 13,845.During the week under review, the index slipped to a low of 13,577 before recovering and hitting a new, all-time intra-day high of 13,858. INDEX MOVERS & SHAKERSSBI was the biggest contributor to the index gain, and the stock added 39 points followed by ITC (35 points), Reliance Communications (21 points) and Bharti Airtel (17 points). Infosys dragged the index down by 28 points followed by Tata Steel (10 points), Hindalco and Cipla (eight points) each.INDEX GAINERS & LOSERSSBI zoomed over 8% (Rs 105) to Rs 1,360. ACC, Hero Honda, ITC, Maruti, Reliance Communications, Bajaj Auto, Gujarat Ambuja, TCS and Grasim gained around 3-6% each.Cipla and Hindalco dropped around 3.5% each to Rs 255 and Rs 172, respectively. Tata Steel, Infosys, NTPC and HLL were down 1-3% each.
