Global crude steel production in February dropped 22 per cent on year to 83.8 million tonnes, as many countries cut output by as much as half, according to a monthly survey by the World Steel Association.
Output during February fell almost 3 per cent over the previous month. China boosted its production by 4.9 per cent to 40.4 million tonnes, for the second month in a row. China’s output declined 1.9 per cent over the previous month.
