Zinc prices down by 0.33% to 106.45 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June contracts declined by 35 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 106.45 per kg in business turnover of 1,222 lots.
Likewise, zinc for delivery in the July shed 35 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 107.65 per kg in 89 lots.
Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to a subdued global trend in base metals amid speculation that central banks including the US Federal Reserve will refrain from adding more stimulus to boost global growth.
