Zinc futures prices fell by 0.34% to Rs 102.20 per kg today as speculators trimmed positions in tandem with a weak trend in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April delivery traded 35 paise, or 0.3%, lower at Rs 102.20 per kg, with a turnover of 590 lots.
The May contract fell by a similar margin to Rs 103.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 26 lots.
Market analysts said reports of a weakening trend in the base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) mainly put pressure on the zinc prices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile, zinc traded a shade lower at $2,007.75 a tonne on the LME.
