Zinc futures fell by 0.66% to Rs 97.55 per kg today as speculators offloaded their positions, largely in tandem with weakness in other base metals.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, December zinc shed 65 paise, or 0.66%, to Rs 97.55 per kg, with a trade turnover of 560 lots.
The January delivery in January lost 65 paise, or 0.65%, to Rs 98.80 per kg, with a business volume of 127 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in zinc futures prices to a weak trend in base metals overseas.
