Zinc traded lower by 0.67% to Rs 104.25 per kg in futures market today, as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend in overseas market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in December shed 70 paise, or 0.67%, to Rs 104.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 4,397 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in January traded lower by 70 paise, or 0.66%, to Rs 105.20 per kg in 134 lots.
Traders said subdued domestic demand amid weakening global trend mainly helped zinc prices at futures market here.
Meanwhile, zinc declined 1.3% to $2,013 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
