Zinc prices rose by 0.58% to Rs 103.75 per kg in futures trade today, taking positive cues from the London Metal Exchange (LME).
In addition, pick up in demand at the domestic spot markets also influenced zinc futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.58%, to Rs 103.50 per kg, with business turnover of 11 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April inched up by 40 paise, or 0.38%, to Rs 104.75 per kg, with a business volume of 10 lots.
At the LME, zinc rose by 1.1% to $2,306 a tonne.
Market analysts said besides pick-up in demand in the spot market, gains in metal at the LME supported the recovery in zinc futures prices here.
