Zinc prices traded higher by 0.37% to Rs 120.50 per kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in December traded higher by 45 paise, or 0.37%, to Rs 120.50 per kg in business turnover of 6 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in November edged up by 30 paise, or 0.25%, to Rs 119 per kg in 789 lots.

Analysts said speculators enlarged their positions after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market led to rise in zinc prices at futures trade.
