Ford has launched the all-new Endeavour at a starting price of INR 29.50 lakhs (on-road). ?This SUV is a completely new offering with no resemblance to its predecessor. The Endeavour is a large SUV,?based on the Ford Ranger pick-up platform.
The Ford Endeavour comes with??two?engine?options?- a?2.2-litre?diesel?with 158bhp of?power?at 3200rpm and 385Nm torque at 1600-2500rpm?and? a 3.2-litre?diesel?unit with 198bhp of?power?at 3000rpm and a massive 470Nm torque at 1750-2500rpm. The 2.2-litre?engine?comes mated to a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed?automatic?transmission. The manual gearbox has a 4?2 as well as a 4?4 option. The 3.2-litre comes only with the six-speed?automatic?and 4?4 option. There are two trim levels namely Trend and Titanium.
It comes with features such as Sync infotainment with voice enabled interface and the audio system has USB, AUX and SD card inputs, powered mirrors with folding, tilt steering, leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, dual zone climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. The tailgate is a powered one and there are seven seats in this SUV.
The Endeavour will be competing with the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
