JLR will be launching the new Land Rover Discovery Sport on 2nd September, the bookings of which were opened on 14th August and received an overwhelming response. Over 200 vehicles have already been booked. The Land Rover Discovery Sport will be replacing the Freelander2 and will be competing with theMercedes-Benz ML-Class (GLE-Class), Audi Q5 and the BMW X3.
The Discovery Sport will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will come in two states of tune (147bhp and 187bhp) and the petrol will be a 245bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The Discovery Sport will be making its way into India with a five and seven seater option.
