We were the first to get you the exterior and interior images of the new premium hatchback from Maruti Suzuki, which has been doing rounds around the country. One of our sources has just confirmed that YRA that were testing was with the 1.2-litre K12C engine, which is the new Dual-Jet engines from Suzuki. These engines produce about 90bhp of power. This engine has better torque at low engine speeds making it more easier to drive in city and at the same time even increasing its fuel efficiency.
The YRA will be the new hatchback from Maruti Suzuki, which will be placed above the Swift to compete with the Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz. So, the YRA is bigger in dimensions than the Swift with more space on the inside. The YRA will have more space at the rear and of course a bigger boot as well. The second engine on offer will be the recently developed Suzuki's 1.5-litre diesel engine. This is a four-cylinder engine and the two-cylinder version of this engine will be used to power the Celerio diesel and Maruti Suzuki's LCV Super Carry.
The Suzuki YRA will be showcased sometime in 2015 at one of the global motor shows. The production of the Maruti Suzuki YRA will commence by the end of 2015 and this hatchback will be exported to the European market from India. No official name has been given to the YRA, but we can see several changes in the YRA when compared to the current range of Suzuki products, with very little parts sharing.
