Mercedes-Benz has a plan to launch 15 products and inaugurate 15 new dealerships in 2015. As a part of this plan, the German brand will also be launching the second-product form the Mercedes AMG range, the GT. The GT will be coming in its S avatar to India and it will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine that will be producing 502bhp of power and a top speed of about 310km/hr.
The GT is much different from the SLS AMG, as this is a sports car that can used for daily driving. The AMG GT will be taking the CBU (complete body unit) route and its pricing will be in excess of INR 2.75 crore (on-road). This is the flagship model for the Mercedes AMG range and will sold through the AMG dealerships.
The GT S is a two-seater and it gets power of the AMG with all the luxury frills too. The AMG GT will be coming only in its S avatar to India. The launch is due for this year itself. The AMG GT has already been imported in India as Mercedes-Benz gears up for the launch of its flagship sports car.
