Yet another Mercedes has been launched in India, following the AMG trio earlier this month. This time it is the S63 AMG sedan and is the 10th launch this year for Mercedes Benz India. The car is priced at INR 2.78 crores (on-road, Bangalore).
The stunning Mercedes S63 AMG sedan comes with a 5.5 litre bi-turbo V8 engine delivering a tremendous a 585bhpand peak torque of 900Nm. The engine is mated to aseven-speed AMG SpeedShift MCT transmission and the car is capable of doing 0- 100km/hr in a claimed 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250km/hr. Mercedes-Benz terms it as 'Formula 1 in luxury mode'.
Amongst other features, the new Mercedes-AMG S63 sedan will consist of features like Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist plus, Mercedes-Benz mbrace, SmartKey and Night security illumination among various other features.The AMG version of the S-Class gets an aggressive stance with a sportier front bumper with larger air intakes. The rear bumper comes with an inbuilt diffuser and a quad exhaust.
The S63 AMG sedan will also offer customised options through its 'designo' platform, launched recently. This sedan will compete against the BMW 760Li and Maserati Quattroporte and the Bentley Flying Spur in the Indian market.
