The new Skoda Superb inspires with clear geometry, striking contoured surfaces, sculptural shapes and elegant lines from the front to the rear. A fine finish right down to the smallest detail was the motto for the development of the new top model precise, sophisticated and striking as never before. The design of the new Superbs lights has a new sharpness to it: the accurate cut, the precise workmanship, the use of geometrical triangular shapes and the three-dimensional contours create a striking brand distinctiveness, modelled after the Bohemian tradition of glass art.
The Skoda Superb is due to come to India next year just after the 2016 Auto Expo. Skoda has been teasing us with several sketches or covered-up car images for a while. One thing we can ensure is that the new generation Superb will be based on similar lines to the current one. It has a long wheelbase and it will have a sharper design than the current Superb.
The new Superb will be showcased in early 2015 in Prague, and it will hit the showrooms in Czech Republic and other European countries in a few months after that. Skoda is preparing to introduce this across Europe by mid-2015. Expect it to come to India by early 2016 and even be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Skoda has shared a few sketches of the new Superb and it shows how this new flagship model will look like. It has a blend of Vision L and the Vision C concepts. The front end has a sharp nose and this new sedan get a thin LED array with projector headlamps, which we arent sure about availability on the Indian spec Superb. The tail lamps still get the C-shaped design and window-area is lesser giving the design a lot more aggressive stance.
