Yamaha R3 bookings are reportedly open at select Yamaha dealerships in the country to welcome fans who have been waiting for this machine for a long time. The R3 has created quite a buzz among biking enthusiasts, recently. The bike will be launched at the Budhh International Circuit, on 11th August 2015.
TheYamaha R3 shall competewith the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390 and the Benelli TNT 300. Itwillbe available inthree colour options namely Red, Blue, and Black. . The R3 comes with a 321cc, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid cooled, parallel twin motor that is mated to a six-speed transmission. In international markets, the engine is tuned tochurn out 41 bhp of power @ 10,750 rpm and 30Nm of torque @ 9,000 rpm. It is not yet clear whether the same power output will be available on the Indian version. The bike weighs 169 kgs and has a298 mm Disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear.
The Yamaha R3is manufactured inIndonesia and Yamaha will be importing itfrom Indonesiaas a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kit, to be assembled here. The booking amount for the R3isINR 10,000 and the bike is expected to be priced around INR 3 lakhs.
