Yamaha have taken the wraps off the Cygnus Ray-ZR, their hottest scooter yet, here in India. The scooter has been designed to appeal to the youth and sports highly stylish bodywork. The Japanese two-wheeler giant used the concept of the Next Generation Real Mans Scooter when developing the Cygnus Ray-ZR.
The Cygnus Ray-ZR is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled engine. Displacing 113cc, the twin-valve SOHC engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Weighing in at a scant 103 kilograms, the Cygnus Ray ZR promises to be nimble on the street, turning heads wherever it goes. Combining stunning looks with high levels of user-friendliness, the Blue-Core" engine has been specially worked upon to return class-leading fuel-efficiency figures.
Yamaha also unveiled the Disc-brake version of the scooter and this version of it sports cast aluminium wheels. The Cygnus Ray-ZR also comes with ample space for under-seat storage, with a 21-litre volume. The instrumentation cluster has been newly designed and is said to offer excellent readability across all types of driving conditions. Both, the drum brake as well as the disc brake variant shall be available in two trendy colour combinations.
