The Australian High Commission and the New Zealand High Commission are marking the 100th anniversary of the World War I Gallipoli Landings with two significant exhibitions commemorating the role of Australia, New Zealand and India in the Great War.

The first exhibition, "Indians and Anzacs" provides rare glimpses of the role Indian, Australian and New Zealand troops played in Gallipoli and elsewhere during the war.

Pictures sourced from archives in Australia and New Zealand, as well as United Services Institution in New Delhi, show the troops both on and off the battlefields. They portray the troops' camaraderie and mateship in the field of war.

The second exhibition, "Camera on Gallipoli", features stunning photographs of the Gallipoli campaign as seen through the lens of Sir Charles Ryan, a famous Australian surgeon who served in World War I.

Australia's Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Bernard Philip, and Colonel John Boswell, New Zealand Army, will launch both exhibitions for the press.

Pictures from both exhibitions will be available for viewing and filming.
