At least thirteen militants were killed in clashes with the Afghan security forces in western Farah province of Afghanistan.
According to The Khaama Press, the incident took place late on Monday night in the vicinity of Bala Bolok district after a large number of militants launched coordinated attacks on security posts.
Provincial governor's spokesman Mohammad Nasir Mehri confirmed the incident and said at least eight policemen were also killed in the attack.
Earlier in January, at least 21 militants, including Pakistani nationals, were killed in the latest airstrikes carried out in the western Farah province.
