It's OFFICIAL! Netflix has renewed '13 Reasons Why' for a second season.
Selena Gomez, who is the producer of the drama took to Instagram and announced the news of the second season.
She captioned the video, "Their story isn't over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming."
The drama will return for a sophomore run in 2018 and consist of another 13 hour-long episodes, with Brian Yorkey staying on as showrunner.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yorkey said that, "Hannah's story is still very much not finished. She's an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she's very much still at the center of it."
Recently, the hit series had been a subject for debate from TV critics and many suicide prevention groups for its graphic portrayal of Hannah's suicide.

Netflix did defend the series and issued a statement to ABC news which read, "From the onset of work on '13 Reasons Why,' we have been mindful both of the show's intense themes and the intended audience."
Despite this, '13 Reasons Why' has proved to be a critical success as well as with the public.
