Akash Choudhary, a 15-year-old bowler hailing from a small village in Rajasthan, made history on Thursday by claiming 10 wickets in four overs without conceding a run, in a local T20 match in Jaipur.
"A good coach plays a pivotal role in the growth of a cricketer. This feat was possible only due to my coach's support and my hard work. I want to play for India one day," the elated boy told ANI.
Akash played from the Disha Cricket Acaedmy against the Pearl Cricket Acedemy at a local tournament in Jaipur. He also made a hat trick.
The bowler was earlier enrolled in Bikaner's Shardul Academy, and now trains under Coach Vivek Yadav at Aravali Cricket Academy.
"Akash came to my academy two years ago. He has taken five-five wickets in many matches, but making a world record by claiming 10 wickets without conceding even one run was out of my imagination. He has a passion for bowling, and has also given Under-16 open trial. I am sure he will be selected," Coach Vivek Yadav said.
