One Direction's Midnight Memories has been named best-selling album worldwide of 2013.
The pop boy band sold four million copies of their third album globally in its first five weeks that pushed Eminem's MMLP 2 to second spot, Contactmusic reported.
The data was released by the British Phonographic Industry (Bpi).
Bpi's Gennaro Castaldo said that around one in eight albums sold around the world were by British artists and the British band were certainly playing their part in maintaining this fantastic achievement.
