Two accused in a robbery case were injured after an encounter broke out between them and the Greater Noida Dadri Kotwali police here on Friday.
On August 11, two armed men allegedly broke into a showroom in Noida and looted Rs 14,000 from the owner. The entire incident was captured on CCTV camera. They tried to disguise their identity but failed to do so and were later discovered by the police.
The encounter took place when the police were conducting a search operation on Bisada Road for the accused and saw them coming on a bike.
A police official, Ranvijay Singh told ANI, "The robbery was carried out by the nabbed miscreants at a showroom in Dadri town on August 11. A pistol, a motorcycle used in the robbery incident have also been recovered from their possession. Both were shot during the encounter and are now admitted to the hospital and are under police surveillance."
There was a cash price of Rs. 25,000 each on their heads.
During the investigation, we discovered that there are more people involved with the accused and their search operation is underway, the official added.
