The 2014 Winter Paralympics, which took place in Sochi, have reportedly concluded in a 'colourful' and 'spectacular' ceremony.
The hosts Russia, where the Games were successfully held for the first time, bagged the first position in the medal table with 80 medals, including 30 golds, making them the nation to win the most medals ever at a Winter Games.
According to the BBC, the Great Britain team finished at the 10th position in the medal table, with their most successful Games since Innsbruck in 1984 with six medals, including one gold, three silvers and two bronzes.
Visually impaired skier Jade Etherington, who became the greatest British Winter Paralympian of all-time after bagging three silvers and a bronze along with her guide Caroline Powell, carried the British flag, the report added.
The Games, with the closing ceremony theme of 'Reaching the Impossible', were reportedly hailed as the best ever Winter Paralympics by International Paralympic Committee president Sir Philip Craven.
The closing ceremony celebrated the achievements of the 547 athletes from 45 countries who competed for the 72 medals on offer.
The Paralympic flag was lowered and presented to Pyeongchang in South Korea, who would host the 2018 Winter Games, the report added.
