At least 22 militants have been killed in the Pakistani military air strikes in the North Waziristan tribal region.
According to the Dawn, a spokesperson of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that six militant hideouts have also been destroyed during the air strikes.
The spokesperson added that the strikes were carried out after intelligence reports were received about the presence of militants in the area.
The strikes were part of Zarb-i-Azb, a grand operation started by Pakistan in the North Waziristan tribal region, after the attack on the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi in 2014 by the extremist group Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
