The upcoming NYC Porn Film Festival, which had planned to run the short film 'Miley Cyrus
The 22-year-old singer's representatives said that the festival's organizer lied when he said Cyrus had personally submitted a 3-minute erotic, bondage-heavy short film, titled 'Tongue Tied,' and then misled the production company Cadence Films into granting permission to use it, the New York Post reported.
A spokesperson for the 'We Can't Stop' singer says that Miley, who was proud to make a film with acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Jones, did not instigate this festival submission and is not participating in any way.
Leahy, who originally told that Cyrus had submitted to the festival after hearing about it through mutual friends, showed the Post emails with Cadence confirming the company would allow the film to be shown.
However, the singer's representatives said those emails were misleading and the festival was presented then as a shorts screening at the artist ran space Secret project Robot, an arts space in Bushwick.
Leahy, who complied with the takedown request right away and removed a Facebook post bragging "We got Miley!," said that basically the singer's group didn't do their due diligence, adding they asked to show it at the festival and because the word porn is involved, basically the media has just sensationalized it and turned it into a click bait story.

Leahy added that the story went totally viral that freaked everyone out, but they don't want to cause any harm to Cyrus and her image.
Leahy noted that Cyrus's video contains no sex but rather shows the singer in bondage scenarios, including some scenes where her nipples are covered in black tape and also, includes the song 'Fitzpleasure' by alternative artist Alt-J.
He said that it's like they are an art festival and even though they're using the work porn, they're not some cheap L.A. porn award festival.
