A study has revealed that about half of us are not aware of the first names of our neighbours.
The study also revealed that seven out of ten had no idea of the surnames of their next-door neighbours.
A third of adults admitted that they could pass their neighbor in the street without realizing that they shared a garden fence and almost two thirds could not recall how long they had lived next door, the Mirror reported.
According to the survey by Churchill Home Insurance more than four out of 10 were clueless when asked if their neighbors had children and almost half did not know if they had a pet.
Almost 75 percent of people don't know where their neighbors work and almost less than 33 percent would claim that they were in the same group of friends.
Only one in 10, who did know their neighbor, admitted they didn't like or trust them and avoid them all the time.
