The elections for 24 seats of Bihar Legislative council, which have been dubbed as the 'semifinal' before the upcoming state assembly polls in September-October, witnessed an estimated 94 percent voting.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had yesterday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made the state legislative council elections a 'prestige issue', and added that he hoped the latter would not turn back on its words after the results were out.
The counting of votes will take place on July 10.
