Reacting to the allegations made by former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader, K. C. Tyagi on Wednesday said that a person who has several criminal charges against him, should not be given so much attention.
Pappu Yadav has claimed that that former finance minister Yashwant Sinha offered money to three MPs of his Indian Federal Democratic Party to join the BJP-led NDA in 2001.
"To believe anything what Pappu Yadav says, even though he has been an MP, is very difficult. A person who has dozens of criminal cases against him, including murder, rape and robbery, should not be paid much attention," Tyagi said.
Yadav, in his autobiography 'Drohkaal ka Pathik', also claimed that during the July 2008 trust vote, both the Congress and BJP had had offered "Rs. 40 crore each" to MPs for their support
Earlier in the day, Yadav said: "When I am writing my autobiography, then it is obvious that the incidents which happened would be mentioned. So when I am writing everything then I will also write what I saw, amongst other things.
